Aquaponics Cabbage - a whopper.

This drumhead cabbage is a whopper. 10 inches across or 255mm. Do not have any scales up at the house but my guess is about 9 lb or 4kg.



Not bad , grown in a 4 year old Aquaponics flood and drain 300mm (12") deep gravel grow bed system, that has never been cleaned out or dug up in that time, has a heap of earth worms living in the beds. The media is 20mm (3/4") gravel (blue metal).
The flood and drain is achieved using auto siphons and the system runs on the CHOP system.
The powerhouse has approx 100 Jade Perch 120 Barramundi fingerlings in floating cages, and assortment of Bass and Yellow Belly also in floating cages.
